Mexico Connect has an excellent site with many useful links, images of Day of the Dead celebrations throughout Mexico, recipes, and directions for making your own Day of the Dead altar.

Mexico's Dia de los Muertos includes an image of "Ofrenda," a Diego Rivera fresco related to the Day of the Dead, snippets of Nahuatl flute music, and many useful links.

El Dia de los Muertos is in both English and Spanish. Highlights include Day of the Dead exhibits at the Palomar College Library in San Marcos, California.

CENAPRED has daily and up-to-the-minute reports of vocanic activity on Popocatepetl, a brief history of the volcano, maps, images, and more. This site is in both English and Spanish.

Popocatepetl eruption details has an impressive color image of "El Popo" and a description of vocanic activity since 1994. It has excellent links to news reports from the Washington Post, CNN, and Reuters.

Popocatepetl cam is provided by the Discovery Channel which has a video camera focussed on the volcano.

A group of students at the University of California at San Diego maintain this Spanish Civil War website. It has a brief summary of the war, some good images, and an extensive archieve of propaganda posters.

Donald Brittain's documentary on Lowry is a page from the National Film Board of Canada's website. It has a very brief note on the film and links to the director, editor etc. You can also order a copy of the film from this site.

Ian Chadwick maintains an outstanding site Tequila: In Search of the Blue Agave. You don't have to look any further for information on the history of tequila, its production, distillation, and tasting. The site has extensive links to tequila producers, books and articles on tequila and much more.

Another trquila website, So, You Want to Try Tequila, reviews a few specific brands of Mexico's national drink. Salud!

Mike Erlindson's Malcolm Lowry Homepage has a discussion board, some interesting images of Dollarton where Lowry wrote most of Under the Volcano, and pictures of Ripe, England where he died and is buried.
