Dr. Bunting had twenty-five years experience in policy and economics research; consulting; education and training.

He held a Bachelor of Applied Science (aerospace science), University of Toronto; Master of Science (engineering economics), Loughborough University of Technology, U.K; and a Doctorate in Philosophy (ethics) from Queen's University at Kingston, Canada.

Mark was an established force in Canadian transportation policy research, an enthusiastic teacher, a well-liked and active member of the Kingston community. His death from cancer in August, 2000 stopped a brilliant career in full-flight.
